Dear Saint Joseph,
St. Joseph, you are the father of Jesus Christ and foster father of our Church. You have been given many titles because you are so special to God and us. You are known as the patron saint of workers, families, the universal Church and dying people.
You also have another title that is not well-known: patron saint for a happy death.
When we think about death in general terms it can be scary because we don’t know what lies ahead for us or how much time we have left on this earth before our journey ends here on earth and we move into eternity with God in heaven where there will be no more suffering but everlasting joy with Him forever!
After the example of your joyous trust in God,
The example of St Joseph’s joyous trust in God is very relevant to our lives today. The world is full of people who can’t be trusted and who do not have any faith in God. They seem to be happy, but they are only pretending. They are trapped by their own selfishness and pride, which prevent them from having real joy and peace.
However, you can have true happiness if you trust in God as St Joseph did! This prayer will help you:
I pray and ask you to intercede with our Lord Jesus Christ,
I pray and ask you to intercede with our Lord Jesus Christ, in order that he may grant me (us) a special grace. Holy Saint Joseph, kindly assist me (us) by your powerful prayers before God so that I may receive what I request from him. Please pray for us and for our intentions. Amen!
I ask that His healing power will enter into my life and take away the cause of my suffering.
I ask that His healing power will enter into my life and take away the cause of my suffering.
I ask that His healing power will enter into my family, friends and all who are dear to me.
I ask that He heal every person who is suffering from any sickness or pain in their body or spirit. I pray they may find peace in knowing Him.
I pray that He will give me the strength to accept whatever trial He may send my way because I know no matter what struggles I am going through, God never abandons me nor forsakes me!!
Let this healing come to my spirit and body.

- That I may be a channel of God’s mercy, reconciliation and peace to those who are in need of it.
Especially in cases of serious illness and chronic pain, let me be given the grace to recognize the loving hand of God and let it teach me what I need to know, even though I may not understand.

- Help me not to be afraid but rather to trust in your care for me; help me believe that you are with me through every experience of my life however good or bad it may seem at the time; help me know that you are so close that I need only call out your name for comfort and consolation when things go wrong.
Grant peace within myself so that I may know peace with those around me. Teach me to love as you loved Mary and Jesus, with a quiet tenderness that is gentle yet strong.
