A Heartfelt Christmas Prayer for a Friend
I am thankful for my friend. He has been a source of support, encouragement and laughter since we met years ago. He was there when I needed him most, and he has always been kind to me.
God of grace and love, we thank you for being a God who is all powerful, all knowing, all loving and merciful. We thank you for your strength to help us through our trials.
We ask that you bless your servant with the ability to connect with others this Christmas season – whether they are family or friends or even strangers on the street! We pray that their hearts will be warmed by your presence in their lives this holiday season. May they experience joy at finding someone who listens without judgment; sees past their faults; encourages them when they feel discouraged; helps them when they need it most. In Jesus’ name we pray…
I pray for my friend this Christmas season.
I pray that my friend will find peace and joy this Christmas season. I pray that she will be surrounded by people who love her, and that they remember her in their prayers.
I pray that my friend will find deeper meaning in the holiday season, and come to know the truth of God’s love for all of us. I pray that my friend will be open to His gift of eternal life, which He offers freely to everyone who asks Him for it (John 3:16).
I pray for my friend this Christmas season.
I ask you to send your angels to guard him as he sleeps and carry him when he is weary.
You can pray for him, too. I’m sure he would like that.
I ask you to send your angels to guard him as he sleeps and carry him when he is weary.
Please give him peace, Lord. Let him find it in his heart and know that no matter what happens, you will always be with him.
I ask this through Christ our Lord who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit now and forever more.
I pray that his work will be meaningful and that he will enjoy the fruits of his efforts.
I pray that his work will be meaningful and that he will enjoy the fruits of his efforts. He has a good job, so I don’t worry about him struggling to make ends meet. But there is a danger in allowing our careers to become an end in themselves rather than a means to something greater—a way to contribute positively to society and leave behind a legacy for loved ones.
I hope my friend will not take this privilege for granted, but instead use it as an opportunity to serve others and grow personally through service.
I ask that you help him find peace, even in the midst of dark times.
Peace is not the absence of conflict, anxiety and pain. Peace is a gift from God in the midst of them all. You’ve been through so much darkness in your life, but I pray that you’ll find peace with this new year. Let God be your guide as you navigate through these trying times, even if it means facing uncomfortable situations head-on.
Give him the courage to take risks, open his heart to new friends and new possibilities.
Give him the courage to take risks, open his heart to new friends and new possibilities.
Please help him embrace the beauty of friendship and love. May he find joy in moments shared with family and friends as well as time spent alone with God. Help him forgive himself for past mistakes, so he may move forward in life with peace and confidence.
Help him live a purposeful life filled with faith, hope, love and gratitude for all that you have given him this past year.
May he be filled with joy and anticipation, hope and love.
- May he be filled with joy and anticipation, hope and love.
- May his heart be comforted by the knowledge that he is loved, even in the midst of uncertainty.
- Hope is essential to life because it gives you something to live for. You need to have hope if you want to accomplish anything in your life; otherwise, there’s no point in doing anything at all!
- Hope can be a difficult concept for some people—especially when things don’t go their way or they’re faced with adversity—but it’s important not only for one’s own well-being but also for those around us who love us dearly (like our friends).
My friend is very special, and I am thankful for her presence in my life.
Dear friend,
I am thankful for your presence in my life. You have been through a lot and have always been there to lift me up when I was down. You are a good listener, and I value your insight. You have a great sense of humor that helps us get through the tough times together. I am grateful for all the support you’ve given me throughout the years – including this Christmas season.
I pray that my friend will be blessed with a joyful Christmas, filled with peace and love.
