O Holy St. Dymphna, great miracle worker in every affliction of mind and body, I call upon you and seek your aid. Beseech your Son Jesus to look down upon me, who suffer from the terrible illness of ______(mention your ailment here). I come to you with confidence and hope that my prayers will be answered through your intercession. You know the pain and anguish of a troubled mind, as you had to endure similar suffering. I promise if I am cured, I will work zealously in the service of God and His Church. Amen

O Holy St. Dymphna, great miracle worker in every affliction of mind and body, I call upon you and seek your aid.

Saint Dymphna, pray for me that I may be released from my anxiety and worry. Please grant me a deep sense of peace, so that my heart may be stilled by your gifts of healing and grace.

Saint Dymphna, help those who suffer from anxiety by giving them strength to overcome their fears; comfort those who suffer with sleepless nights by sending them peaceful dreams; aid those who are overwhelmed with guilt or shame to forgive themselves and find forgiveness in the eyes of God; give hope to those who despair by showing them the light at the end of their tunnel; heal those whose bodies have been broken by illness or accident so they can live again full lives without fear; comfort all whose hearts are broken through death or separation so they know You are always near as they journey through life’s darkest hours

Beseech your Son Jesus to look down upon me, who suffer from the terrible illness of ______(mention your ailment here).

Your first prayer should be for your own health. If you are not sick, then there is no need to say anything. Just pray that God will keep you healthy.

If you are sick and suffering from a specific ailment, mention it here:

“Beseech your Son Jesus to look down upon me, who suffer from the terrible illness of ______(mention your ailment here).”

I come to you with confidence and hope that my prayers will be answered through your intercession.

St. Dymphna is a saint who overcame her own mental illness and then used her own suffering to help others. She was the daughter of a pagan Irish king and his Christian wife, but she was raised by her mother after he abandoned them when she was very young. Her mother took her to live in Belgium where they joined St. Gereon’s Abbey as postulants (candidates for religious life). They were tonsured (permitted to wear the habit of a monk or nun) at around age 12 and made their vows about two years later.

Dymphna began experiencing depression soon after this point in time, which led some monks of the monastery to doubt whether she really wanted God’s blessing on her life because they interpreted this recurring episodic disorder as sinful behavior rather than an illness that required treatment with medication today (such as Lithium). However, despite their attempts at dissuasion from pursuing religious orders due to what they considered immoral behavior on behalf of someone who had vowed obedience firstly through baptismal promises made before God Himself then again during confirmation when given permission by parents/guardians/masters; Saint Gereon defended both women’s right as adults since neither showed signs of disobedience towards him personally or others within his community.”

You know the pain and anguish of a troubled mind, as you had to endure similar suffering.

In your book, The Life of St Dymphna, it is written that when you were just 15 years old, “you became afflicted with an illness which caused your father much grief.” This was because he loved you dearly and did not want anything to happen to his daughter. But alas! There was nothing he could do but watch as his beloved child suffered from a mental illness that no one could cure her of or even understand what it was at first.

It must have been incredibly difficult for both your family members and yourself; especially since there were no medicines available in those days like there are today! So now I ask myself: Why did God allow this horrible thing within my life? And why does He continue allowing such things into other people’s lives as well?

I ask for your prayers that Almighty God will hear my request and grant me relief from this illness which is so devastating to me.

I ask for your prayers that Almighty God will hear my request and grant me relief from this illness which is so devastating to me. Pray for the grace to be able to bear my illness with patience and resignation. I pray for courage, strength and wisdom in dealing with this illness. I ask all of you to pray for me, especially when I need your help most.

I promise if I am cured, I will work zealously in the service of God and His Church. Amen

You can pray to St Dymphna for other ailments, such as physical illness or mental illness. If you are suffering from any sort of sickness, the intercession of St Dymphna may help reduce the symptoms, or even heal you completely.

If you are struggling with anxiety and/or depression, there are numerous Catholic devotions that will aid in your recovery. The most popular is the Rosary; by praying this devotion daily, you will find yourself slowly growing more peaceful and relaxed each day. Other devotions include praying the Stations of the Cross (a series of 14 meditations on our Lord’s Passion), attending Mass regularly, fasting on Fridays during Lent (the season of penance), going to confession regularly (priests offer this sacrament at least once a week), participating in retreats and personal retreats called day retreats where one spends time reflecting on God’s love for us through quiet prayer at home or elsewhere outside one’s home if possible) and saying prayers like those found on Divine Mercy Sunday which occurs every year between Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday when Catholics celebrate Jesus’ resurrection from death by remembering His compassion with others who were sick before he died two thousand years ago while living here on earth teaching us how we should live as Christians today!
