Giving thanks for blessings

I am so grateful for the patience my husband and I have been blessed with. Patience is a trait I think we all need to be more mindful of.

There have been times when things have felt overwhelming, when the wait feels like it’s going to never end. But, as we’ve continued to be patient, things have started to work out in ways that we never could have imagined.

There are moments when the wait feels unbearable, but I try to remember all the blessings that come with it. There are people who are waiting on us who are counting on us to show patience.

So, today as I reflected on our journey thus far, I thanked God for His grace and His provision during our wait. And I reminded myself that patience is a gift and an ability that we can cultivate, no matter what life throws at us.

God,

Thank you for the gift of patience. Help me to be aware of the moments when I am tempted to impatience, and help me to remember that patience is a sign of strength.

Give me the courage to stay present in each moment, even when things feel difficult or frustrating. Give me the wisdom to know when something is not going to happen immediately and to let go gracefully.

Please guide me as I navigate this new phase in my life. Help me to be understanding and forgiving towards myself, as well as others around me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
