Prayer for a sick child

When I was pregnant with my son, I never could have imagined what he would go through during his illness. I always knew there was a chance he might be sick, but I had no idea how bad it would get.

At first, things were just normal. He was a typical active baby and toddler. But then he started getting colds and virus infections at an alarming rate. We were always rushing to the pediatrician because each one seemed to get worse and last longer than the last.

The doctors did all they could, but they couldn’t seem to cure him. He developed pneumonia twice and was hospitalized for weeks on end. He also battled ear infections and other serious illnesses that left him exhausted and bedridden for extended periods of time.

Despite all these problems, my son never lost his spirit or belief in miracles. Even when he was in the worst health imaginable, he refused to give up on life or give up on himself.

It has been a long journey, but we have finally overcome all of his illnesses and struggles. Today he is a happy healthy young man who loves spending time with his family and friends.
