Prayer For My Sins

Sin is a big word. It’s something that we all grapple with at some point in our lives, but it’s also something that we can talk about openly. And that’s what makes prayer so powerful – it allows us to connect with God in a way that feels safe and confidential.

My Story

I grew up in a religious household. My parents were both believers and taught me about God at a very young age. I was raised to believe that there was one way to be saved, and that was through prayer and repentance.

I believed in all of the commandments, including the one about not having other gods before God. I also believed in Jesus Christ as my savior. I read the Bible every day and loved hearing about Jesus’ life and teachings.

I went to church every week, sang in the choir, and participated in all of the religious activities. I even served a mission for my church overseas.

But as I got older, I started to have questions about my faith. I began to doubt whether or not Jesus really existed or if he was truly the only way to get into heaven.

I prayed constantly for guidance, but nothing happened. The more I questioned my faith, the worse it felt inside. It was like a weight was pushing me down, preventing me from moving forward with my life.

What I Pray For

As I reflect on the past year, there have been many things that I have prayed for– some that I thought would be easy to pray for, and others that have been more difficult. I believe that it is important to pray for all of our needs– both large and small. Here are just a few of the prayers that I have prayed this year:

1) That my family and friends would be healthy and happy
2) That God would provide me with a hernia surgery that would fixed my abdominal pain
3) That my children would continue to thrive in school
4) That someone close to me would overcome cancer
5) That God would heal the earth after years of drought
6) That my car wouldn’t break down on the way to work
7) That my child’s soccer team would win their league game
8 )That I wouldn’t make any big mistakes during the year
9) That I would find a job soon
10) That God would give me strength during tough times.
