Prayer For Healing A Loved One

If you are suffering from a loved one’s illness or disease, it can be difficult to know what to do. In this prayer, we will ask God that our loved one would receive healing and that we would find comfort in His word.

Heavenly Father, I bring before You my loved one who is in need of healing.

I know that through prayer and faith in Your word, You can help heal my loved one’s body.

I know that he/she is under Your care and protection, so I trust that it is not too late to pray for healing. I also ask You to provide a doctor or specialist who will provide him/her with proper treatment if needed; please protect his health until then, Lord!

Give me patience as I wait on You and keep me focused on Your promises rather than my impatience over how long it might take for him/her to get better again!

I pray that in Your great mercy and grace You will touch my loved one by Your healing hand and impart wholeness to his body. He has been suffering for a long time now, with no relief in sight. He is weary and discouraged, but still he prays for help with all his heart. Though I do not understand why this affliction was allowed to come upon him, I know that it is not from any lack of faith on his part; on the contrary, he has long lived a life dedicated to serving You with all his heart and soul. Therefore I know that You have chosen him for some special purpose in Your eternal plan which we cannot see or understand right now.
