Dear Lord, I am turning to You today in prayer and need. Only Your power can make a difference in my life. I need You, God.
Dear Lord,
If you have never thought about prayer before, here are some things to keep in mind. Prayer is a conversation with God. After all, He wants us to talk with Him. Prayer is not just talking to God but also listening for His answers and direction from Him. It helps us feel close to Him and that we’re not alone in this world or our circumstances. You can ask for help or guidance from God when you are facing problems, trials or other difficult situations—or just thank Him for what He has done for you!
You may want to start by saying something like: “Dear Lord, thank You for loving me.” Then tell Him how grateful you are that He has given His Son Jesus Christ so we can know what the Father requires of us (see John 14:15).
I am turning to You today in prayer and need. Only Your power can make a difference in my life.
Turn to God in prayer.
You may not feel like you’re turning to God, but you are if you’re praying for His help and asking Him to intervene in your life. According to the Bible, prayer is one of the greatest things we can do for ourselves and others—it’s our way of communicating with God. When we pray, we acknowledge that we have a need or problem and ask for His help.
God’s power is greater than anything else. Sometimes we can’t see how our problems will be solved or what will happen if something goes wrong in our lives—but only God knows the answer! He is bigger than any situation you’ve ever been faced with before, so turn to Him today as your source of strength instead of trying (and failing) on your own
I need You, God.
The Bible says that God is the only one who can heal you. God alone has the power to help you, make a difference in your life and restore your health. The Bible tells us that Jesus said: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away” (Matthew 24:35). He also said: “And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well” (Mark 16:17–18).
The Bible says that Jesus Christ died on the cross so that we may have life more abundantly through Him (John 10:10). This means there can be no sickness or disease in our lives if we belong to Christ! Your physical body belongs to God as well because Romans 8:9 says “you are not your own.” If this were not true then why would Jesus say things like this?
