Image Of Prayer For Healing
Dear God, thank you for healing me. I know that it’s because of you that my body is made whole. Thank you for your grace and mercy in my life. You are the healer of all our diseases, amen!
Healing
Healing is a gift from God. It is also a gift to be given, received, shared and treasured.
The healing of physical illness may result in the restoration of wellness or the prolongation of life. But healing can occur in many ways: psychological healing after an accident or trauma; spiritual healing through prayer; emotional release when an argument or conflict is resolved; physical recovery from injury; relationship repair after hurtful words have been said or actions taken; acceptance by others when we have changed our behavior for their benefit but outgrown them through change ourselves; self-acceptance when we realize that there isn’t anything wrong with us as people despite what other people might think about us (or about others).
His wounds have paid the price of my healing
In the image above, Jesus is pictured on the cross with wounds in his hands and feet. The wounds in Jesus’ hands are called Stigmata. These were the nail marks from when he was crucified. The wound in His side was from a Roman soldier’s spear that pierced His side as he hung on the cross.
Stigmata can happen to anyone who has deep faith in God and is willing to endure great suffering for their faith, just like Jesus did during His time on earth. When we have deep faith in God, He will use us as an instrument of healing for others who are hurting or sick with illness or disease (1 Corinthians 12:7-11).
We can also learn much about healing by studying how Jesus healed people during His ministry (Matthew 9:35-38; Mark 3:1-6; John 10:10).
Jesus suffered much so we could be healed physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually – no matter what type of sickness may come our way!
As he was pierced, I am healed
As he was pierced, I am healed.
The image of the spear thrust into Jesus’s side is one of the most common images in Christian art. It represents the moment when Jesus died on the cross. The blood and water that came out of his side signified his death, while a wound in his side may have been caused by a Roman soldier’s spear to prove that he was dead once they removed him from the cross (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
The image of Christ being nailed to the cross with nails through both hands and feet has become another iconic image for Christians who believe in Christ’s redeeming sacrifice for our sins. The two thieves who were crucified alongside him had only ropes tied around their wrists and ankles; there were no nails used to secure them to their crosses (Luke 23:33-38).
As he was scourged, I am cleansed
As he was scourged, I am cleansed
The blood that poured from his wounds purified me, made me clean.
As He was mocked, I am made whole
As you read, observe how Jesus was scorned, beaten and scourged, nailed to the cross. As He suffered for you and me. Now reflect on these images as you continue to pray for healing:
- Imagine Jesus ripped away from His mother by Roman soldiers with swords drawn, who then dragged him into the streets of Jerusalem to be mocked, spit upon and beaten mercilessly by a large crowd of angry people who had been whipped into frenzy by religious leaders. Though weak from His torture at the hands of Pontius Pilate earlier, He endured this abuse without complaint or retaliation because it was necessary for your salvation; because without such suffering no one could be saved (1 Peter 3:18).
- Feel how when Jesus finally collapsed under their blows that they put Him back on His feet only to beat Him down again until He couldn’t stand anymore and then they spat in His face before nailing Him up on a cross like an animal; all while He prayed for them!
As He was crowned with thorns, I am crowned with glory
As He was crowned with thorns, I am crowned with glory.
As He was crowned with thorns, I am crowned with life.
As He was crowned with thorns, I am crowned with righteousness.
The blood that flowed from His brow is my health and salvation
The blood that flowed from His brow is my health and salvation. The blood that flowed from His brow is the remission of my sins. The blood that flowed from His brow is the cleansing of my conscience and the washing away of my transgressions in your sight.
The blood that flowed from His veins is the remission of my sins
This is the blood of our covenant. This is the blood of the testament which God has taken, and men have despised; but this is the blood that speaks better things than that of Abel.
This is the atonement for all our sins, for all our iniquities, for all unrighteousness, which we have committed against God’s commandments: it took away from us all guilt and condemnation; it maketh an end to sin; it obtains pardon for this sin; it blots out transgression as a cloud, and takes away as a thick veil from off our faces all darkness wherein we had walked in ignorance of our duty to God and each other. It cleanses us from every spot or stain. It is a fountain opened for sin and uncleanness (Zechariah 13:1).
The blood that flowed from His hands and feet is the cleansing of my conscience and the washing away of my transgressions in your sight.
As a Christian, you believe that no matter what has happened in the past or what challenges you are facing now, healing is a gift from God. It is a sign of His love for us. Healing speaks of His mercy and forgiveness when we turn to Him in faith.
In the Bible, Jesus was constantly healing people who came to Him in faith (see Matthew 9:35-38). The blood that flowed from His hands and feet is the cleansing of my conscience and the washing away of my transgressions in your sight (Hebrews 10:22).
I want you to know that it’s because of you I have been healed.
God’s healing power is real, and it works. It can heal every illness and disease, from the most serious to the most trivial—even those which modern science cannot explain or treat.
You are not alone in your fight against cancer. The Bible says that Jesus’ blood has been shed for us, so any part of us that has touched it is made right with God (1 John 1:7). That means we don’t have to live under the curse of sin anymore if we accept Jesus as our Savior! So pray this prayer with me…
