Prayer for peace is one of the oldest and most common forms of prayer. It has been practiced for centuries, and it remains a powerful tool for finding peace in difficult times. Psalm 91:1-4

This short prayer begins with an acknowledgment of our own imperfections, and asks for God’s help in overcoming them. Psalm 97:1-4

In Psalm 97, the author pleads for peace in a time of turmoil. The psalm begins with a prayer for God’s protection in times of trouble and ends with a prayer for God’s presence and peace.

The first three verses praise God for His protective hand over the Israelites. In verse one, the author thanks God for His faithfulness in past times and asks that He continue to protect them in future times as well. Verses two through four ask that peace be given to all people, especially those who are suffering. The author requests that God would heal the sick, deliver them from danger, and protect them from evil.

Psalm 103:1-5

When we pray, we can connect with God in a special way. Prayer gives us an opportunity to express our feelings and concerns, and it can help us get closure on issues that are bothering us.

Psalm 103:1-5 says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who led thee forth from the house of bondage; who delivered thee from the hand of the Egyptians; who helped thee on thy way when thou wast faint and weak.”

This psalm is about praising God for all the good things he has done for us. We should also thank him for leading us through difficult times, helping us when we were weak, and protecting us throughout our journey.

Psalm 145:1-6

“Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

Listen to my prayer, O God; give ear to my plea for peace.

Give me understanding as I seek you, that I may know how to answer those who malign me.

For they do not understand your ways; they are too proud of their own.

But let them be put to shame and confusion forever; when they see all their wickedness, that which brings them sorrow.

Let them be turned back forever on their heels; let them be brought down to the depths of the earth. May their roots rot away and their branches wither.”
