The Armor Of God Prayer For Protection

The Armor Of God Prayer For Protection

Ephesians 6 is an entire chapter about the armor of God. The armor of God consists of many things: the whole armor, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, shoes that come from the gospel, shield of faith, helmet of salvation and sword (Word of God). Let’s pray for protection using this armor. This prayer is going to be a little bit long, but you can also pray it any time during the day.

Ephesians 6 is an entire chapter about the armor of God. This chapter is not written to be read as a list of instructions and warnings, but rather it is meant to help you understand what it means to put on the full armor of God. The first step in putting on your full armor is understanding that everything we need for protection and victory has already been provided by Christ through his death and resurrection. He has given us all we need in order that we may stand against all the schemes and attacks Satan will throw at us throughout our lives, but only if we choose to put it on!

The second step in putting on your full armor would be understanding that every piece of this spiritual armor helps protect one another part from harm – like a chainmail suit where each ring protects another ring from being pierced by an enemy’s sword or spear tip (Ephesians 6:14). I believe this is what Paul was getting at when he said “Stand firm with feet sturdy against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:11).”

  • The “whole armor” is all-inclusive. It covers every part—head to foot—of your body.
  • The “belt” is a piece that goes around your waist to hold everything together. It holds up your pants and helps support you when you are standing or walking around.
  • The “breastplate” is protective covering for your heart area (chest). This would be like wearing an extra layer over your chest area to keep it safe from attack by evil spirits or people who want to hurt you in any way possible! In fact sometimes this piece includes other objects such as spikes which would help protect against arrows shot at one’s enemies while making them look more intimidating too!

Let’s pray for protection using this armor.

Pray that the evil one would be kept at bay and unable to harm you.

Pray that all of his devices, schemes, and temptations would be defeated by His power.

Pray that he would not be able to touch you or cause any harm through your own negligence or foolishness in the area of temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13).

This prayer is going to be a little bit long, but you can also pray it any time during the day.

You can pray it in the morning when you wake up and before you go to bed at night. You can also pray it whenever you feel like you need protection or guidance. It will help protect your mind, body and spirit from evil influences around us.

If something bad happens to me today? I just need to remember what this prayer says:

  • “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1b (NIV)

When we use our armor to fight spiritual battles, we feel protected and empowered by God.

When we use our armor to fight spiritual battles, we feel protected and empowered by God. Our identity is solidified not just by our actions but also by the character traits that God has instilled within us. When we put on the belt of truth, we are saying “I am a person who speaks the truth.” When we put on the breastplate of righteousness, we are saying “I am righteous.”

We don’t need to possess these characteristics perfectly in order to use them as tools for protection. We can still wear them when fighting against sin and pride within us—even though they may be weak at times!

Conclusion

This prayer is going to be a little bit long, but you can also pray it any time during the day. Remember that your armor is not only in times of spiritual battle, but also in everyday life.
