Father’s Day is supposed to be a day of celebration, but for many people, it’s just another reminder of what they lost. If you are grieving the loss of your father, or if you know someone who is, here are some prayers that may help you through this difficult time.
Prayer for Fathers Who Are Grieving: God, we come to you now in deep sorrow and sadness. We have lost our Father and we know that there is nothing that can bring him back. Yet we still long for his presence in our lives. We beg you to take care of him now and to forgive us for the ways we failed him as children. In his name, Amen.
Prayer for Fathers Who Are Happy and Well-Loved: God, we come to you now with gratitude and thanksgiving. We have been blessed beyond measure by our wonderful Father. We know that he lives within us and that he loves us deeply. As we celebrate his life and love today, please help us to remember him with humility every day – knowing that he loves us

Dear Father,
I know that you are not alive anymore, but I still pray for you. Please forgive me if I ever forget your teachings and guidance in my life. I know that you will watch over me always.
Thank you for all the wonderful times we shared together. I never knew a father who loved his children more than you did. You were a great role model to me and taught me the importance of always being truthful and doing what is right. Thank you for teaching me how to be strong and how to deal with difficult situations.

Dear Lord,
I come to you today with a heart full of sadness. I am broken as I write this, knowing that my Father is no longer with us. It feels like a huge weight has been lifted from my chest as I know that he is now in your arms, waiting for us to join him.
I know that you are aware of everything that is happening around us and that you are watching over our family as we go through this difficult time. Please keep them safe and warm and help them to find comfort in your presence.
