Father’s Day is coming up, and it’s always a difficult day for anyone who’s grieving the loss of their father. Father’s Day is supposed to be a day of celebration, but for many people, it’s just another reminder of what they lost. If you are grieving the loss of your father, or if you know someone who is, here are some prayers that may help you through this difficult time.
Prayer for Fathers Who Are Grieving: God, we come to you now in deep sorrow and sadness. We have lost our Father and we know that there is nothing that can bring him back. Yet we still long for his presence in our lives. We beg you to take care of him now and to forgive us for the ways we failed him as children. In his name, Amen.
Prayer for Fathers Who Are Happy and Well-Loved: God, we come to you now with gratitude and thanksgiving. We have been blessed beyond measure by our wonderful Father.
