From breast-feeding to potty training to helping him learn how to interact with other people, there were always new things to do. But one of the most challenging tasks was creating meaningful birthday gifts for my son. While some parents might think that giving children toys or candy is the best way to commemorate a birthday, I knew that it wasn’t what my son wanted or needed. So, I started praying for guidance on what to give him. And surprisingly enough, I got a lot of answers from God through His Holy Spirit!
Prayer Basics
My prayer for my son on his birthday is that he grows into a man of integrity and character. I ask that he avoids hurtful and destructive behaviors, and that he finds joy in the simple things in life. I also ask that he be guided by the Holy Spirit throughout his life, and that he experiences physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
