Prayer For Long Life And Good Health
Lord, I thank you as I come before your throne humbled. Thank you for this day. Thank you that I have been allowed to see another beautiful day. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and be used by you. I had no idea how good life would be. You are such a gracious God and the peace that comes from knowing you is indescribable. Please show me in my dreams what you want me to do when I wake up. I am here because of your love and care for me. If it wasn’t for your grace, I wouldn’t be here today. Please fill me with your Holy Spirit and make my life a testimony of your grace so that others will come to know
Lord, I thank you as I come before your throne humbled.
You’re going to realize, as you pray this prayer, that there are some ugly things in your life. Perhaps it’s a financial burden or a job that’s toxic to your well-being. Maybe it’s an addiction that has shackled you and dragged you down. Whatever these things are, they will come into focus when we ask God for wisdom and understanding in our lives.
But pray also that God will help us see the good in our lives too! We have so much to be thankful for: family and friends; health; even simple pleasures like the smell of fresh bread baking or taking a walk on a sunny day can bring great joy if only we let ourselves experience them fully (and not rush past them).
And then there is beauty—the wonder of creation as seen through God’s eyes; the awareness of his presence within us; and even just looking at another person with love instead of judgment—all these things add up to beauty in this world created by our Creator!
Thank you for this day.
Dear God,
Thank you for this day. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you and be used by You. Thank You for giving us another beautiful day to enjoy. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Thank you that I have been allowed to see another beautiful day.
Thank you that I have been allowed to see another beautiful day. Thank You for providing me with the ability and opportunity to serve others by sharing Your Word in a way that will bless them.
I praise You, Lord, for all You have done for me and my family and friends. I thank You for answering our prayers on many occasions, through good health or bad, through blessings or trials – because ultimately it is all about how we use our time here on earth (whether it’s long or short), not just how much time we have left before we meet Jesus again!
I pray these words over myself as well as anyone else who reads this prayer: May they live long lives full of joy! May their days be filled with peace & happiness; may they always remember the love You gave them at conception!
Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and be used by you.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and be used by you. Thank you that I have been allowed to see another beautiful day.
I had no idea how good life would be.
I had no idea how good life would be. The joy of living in the moment, the richness of being alive, I didn’t know these things existed until I experienced them for myself. Life can be so much more than we think it is when we’re stuck in routines that have become habit over time. It’s good to get out there and explore your world, as you never know what you might find!
You are such a gracious God and the peace that comes from knowing you is indescribable.
Thank you for your love. Thank you for your grace. Thank you for your mercy. Thank you for your peace, which transcends all understanding and cannot be fathomed by human beings (Phil 4:7). Thank you also for the indescribable joy of knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who is the author and perfecter of our faith (Heb 12:2), who has given us an unfailing hope in this life, as well as in the life to come (1 Thess 5:8-9).
Thank you that we can rest in this assurance that your love will never end or forsake us (Psalm 27:1; John 15:13)!
Please show me in my dreams what you want me to do when I wake up.
Dreams are a great way to communicate with God.
When you wake up from sleep, you may find yourself asking for guidance in your dream. One good way to do this is by writing down your questions and wishes before going to bed. You can also pray throughout the day or night before going to bed so that as soon as you wake up, you will remember what it was that you wanted or needed guidance on while dreaming!
The next time you have an important decision to make in life, try writing down all of the information about each option and then asking God for guidance through dreams before making any final decisions!
I am here because of your love and care for me.
Thank God for His love and care for you. Praise Him for loving you unconditionally, not based on your performance or what you do or don’t do but because He loves you. Thank Him as well that His love is not based on what we have or don’t have. In Christ, our Lord, we are rich in Him!
If it wasn’t for your grace, I wouldn’t be here today.
If it wasn’t for your grace, I wouldn’t be here today.
Grace is the free gift of God’s love and mercy. Grace is not deserved; it is given to those who believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. Grace is undeserved, unearned, and comes without cost to us: “The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
God has blessed you with many gifts and talents—and I pray that you will use them to serve others rather than yourself so that they may see His glory when they look at you!
Please fill me with your Holy Spirit and make my life a testimony of your grace so that others will come to know you through my life.
Before we begin, it is important to remember that the Holy Spirit is not a fourth person in the Godhead. The Holy Spirit is God’s love and mercy. He helps us to understand God’s word and live a holy life. The Holy Spirit also helps us to be witnesses to Jesus Christ.
The most powerful prayer I have ever heard was spoken by Billy Graham at his 95th birthday celebration: “Jesus, fill me with your Holy Spirit for the rest of my life because I want your plan for my life.”
Please take me in your arms and guide me through the rough waters of life so I can see the other side of victory.
- Be patient with yourself and others.
- Trust in God’s plan for your life, even when things look bad.
- Seek God’s will for your life and ask Him to show you what that is.
- Pray for wisdom, guidance, power and strength to do whatever He shows you to do.
- Ask for help from others who are stronger than you are in certain areas of your life so that together you can accomplish great things!
Show me your plan for my life, Lord, and help me understand what it means to live fully in your presence.
As you pray, be open to the will of God. You may find that you need to seek out His will for your life. The more you seek it and are willing to fulfill it, the more grateful you will be when He reveals it to you.
I commit this day to You and pray that You will help me not to waste it on anything less than Your will.
I commit this day to You, Lord. I pray that You will help me not to waste it on anything less than Your will for my life. I know Your will for me is good and perfect, so I ask You to give me the strength to do what is right and keep my eyes fixed on You at all times. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Conclusion
Thank you, Lord, for the beautiful day we have today. Thank you for all the blessings I have been given and for allowing me to serve You in whatever way possible. Please show me how to live fully in Your presence so that I can be an example of your grace to those around me who need it most.
