Most Powerful Prayer To The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is a divine person who eternally co-exists with the Father and the Son. He is not just an impersonal force. Here are a few things that we can know about him:

The Holy Spirit is a divine person who eternally co-exists with the Father and the Son

The Holy Spirit is a divine person who eternally co-exists with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit is not just an impersonal force—the Bible speaks of Him using personal pronouns like “he” and “him.” The Bible also reveals that He has emotions, such as joy (John 15:11) and love (Romans 15:30). And while He may be compared to a wind or water that flows through us, this does not mean we should make any errors about His nature. It’s important to know that the Spirit cannot be reduced down to any one thing because He is so much more than just an impersonal force or energy!

The Holy Spirit is not just an impersonal force.

The Holy Spirit is not an impersonal force. If you’re familiar with the Bible, you know that the Holy Spirit is often referred to as a “person.” You may have heard of him as “the third person” or “the Comforter.”

In many ways, we can think of the Holy Spirit as being similar to our own soul—both are spiritual beings that live within us and help us make decisions. The only difference is that Jesus is both human and divine (which makes sense because he’s God!), so His soul has two parts: one human and one divine.

“The Holy Spirit”

The Holy Spirit is a divine person who eternally co-exists with the Father and the Son. He is not merely an impersonal force, but rather a personality, who can be grieved (Ephesians 4:30).

What do we mean when we say that God is “three in one”? This means that all three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—are fully God. The Bible often refers to them together as “the Trinity.” Yet this does not mean they are three gods because each person has their own unique characteristics that make them distinct from one another. For example, while all members of the Trinity possess eternal life and are infinite in power and wisdom, only Jesus Christ took on human flesh to redeem mankind from sin (John 1:1; Romans 5:12–21).

“comforter” means “one called alongside to help”.

The Greek word translated as “Comforter” is Parakleetos. This word means “one called alongside to help.” The Holy Spirit is our helper and comforter in this world of sin and sorrow, where we need Him more than ever before. The Holy Spirit helps us in our time of need, when we cannot manage on our own.

He regenerates us when we are born again of the water and the Spirit.

  • We’re born again by the Spirit. John 3:6 says,

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

  • We’re born again by the Word. 1 Peter 1:23 says, “Being born again…through the living and abiding word of God.”
  • We’re born again by Jesus’ blood (Romans 5:9; Galatians 2:20).
  • We’re also regenerated through the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). This means that when we go to church on Sundays and hear a message about Jesus dying for us on a cross, it’s helping us become new creations in Christ!

He empowers us to live a godly life.

The Holy Spirit empowers us to live a godly life.

The Holy Spirit gives us strength and wisdom to overcome temptation, sin and evil.

He is the one who can speak words of life into our hearts, giving us courage when we are afraid or ashamed. He encourages us to do what is right in the eyes of God even when it means we will be persecuted for doing so.

The Holy Spirit also helps us understand God’s word better so that we may grow as Christians every day!

He produces Christlike fruit in our lives.

  • Fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
  • Fruit of the Son (Jesus): love for God and neighbor; kindness; gentleness; self-control (Galatians 5:22).
  • Fruit of the Father (God): love for God and neighbor; kindness; gentleness (Matthew 7:17-20).

The Holy Spirit helps us be good people

The Holy Spirit helps us be good people. The Holy Spirit is not just an impersonal force, but He is a personal being who helps us live as good of a life as possible. This can be seen in John 14:26, where Jesus says that “the helper” (which means the Holy Spirit) will teach us all things and remind us of what we need to do. By helping you remember what to do, the Holy Spirit empowers your actions so that you can live out His will for your life.

When we are born again of the water and the Spirit (John 3:5), we receive new spiritual life through baptism in Christ’s name (1 Corinthians 6:11). This new life from God sets aside our old sinful nature which was dominated by sin and death (Romans 6:6). However, due to our fallen nature being born into sin itself (Psalm 51:5), there are still remnants of our old self within us that tries to dominate over this new life every day—this is why we must be renewed daily in order for God’s work within us not be wasted through our daily choices or failures (2 Corinthians 4:16; 2 Peter 1:4). It is here where we see how important it is for each individual believer to seek after God’s help from time-to-time so that they may have strength when making decisions or overcoming temptations throughout their lives!
