My friend is facing her first battle with cancer. It has been a difficult time for her and her family, and I want to help them through it by praying for healing. However, I am not sure what to say or do. Please help me as I intercede for my loved one’s healing..
God, I am grateful that you have allowed me to be a blessing to others. You have given me health and strength, which I now ask You to use for the healing of my friend.

God is the giver of all good gifts. He has given you an opportunity to be a blessing to someone else today. This is just one way you can show obedience even though your friend may not be able to respond or give thanks in return.
I know that You heal, and You are able to restore my friend to full health. I ask that Your will be done in her life.
You know that God is able to heal, and it is Your will for my friend to be restored to full health. You are the ultimate Healer, and so I ask that Your will be done in her life. I pray that You would heal my friend of any sickness or disease she may have, and help me to love her as You do.
I praise You for Your promises: “Life and death are in the power of the tongue… A righteous man falls seven times, but rises again” (Proverbs 18:21). Because of this promise from God’s Word, I believe that with each prayer time we spend together over our friend’s health issue, she will be healed and restored back to wholeness as one who has been changed by Christ’s love.

I rebuke sickness. I rebuke disease. I rebuke every spirit of infirmity that is tormenting her body right now, including any spirit of infirmity sent by Satan or any other enemy of God’s Kingdom (Ephesians 6:12).
I pray for healing and restoration to come across this room today—I pray that it would flow over the people in here like rain on a parched land (Jeremiah 30:17).

- God is sovereign and all-powerful. He has the power to heal the sick or to bring about their death, as he chooses. He can work through doctors or other health care providers, but he can also heal without them if we believe that He will do so.
As my friend faces this new day, may she do so with hope and positive expectations. Bless her with renewed faith in Your power and provision..

The apostle Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 1:3-7 “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.”
We can do no better than to pray that our friend will not only feel supported by those around them but also empowered by their faith in God’s goodness, grace and love for them during this time of need.
Please give me wisdom for how to best encourage my friend through this season of hardship. May she know that we are here for her – ready to support her and help carry whatever burden we can..
When your friend is in need, help her with your prayers. Pray for wisdom for yourself and others who are concerned about her. May God’s strength be poured out on her as she faces this challenge of life.
Be a friend and listen to the story of what has happened, encourage when possible and pray that the Lord will heal all wounds and restore peace into lives of those who have been hurt by this event.
Prayer warriors are needed especially during times like these! Pray fervently on behalf of everyone involved in this situation because they deserve it!

God, You are a good God who answers prayers. You are a great God who heals the sick and makes us well. You are a good friend because we can trust in you completely, knowing that you will never leave us nor forsake us. We know that whenever we call upon your name, you will hear us and answer our cries for help in times of need or trouble (Psalm 9:10).
Lord Jesus Christ, your death on the cross brought life to many people who were sick and suffering in body as well as spirit; please heal our friend from all sicknesses so that she may go forth in strength according to Your Word (2 Corinthians 12:9). We pray this through Jesus Christ our Lord who lives and reigns with You forever.. Amen!
