Invocation Prayer For Graduation
Dear Heavenly Father, we are so thankful that You have given us the opportunity to celebrate this special day. We pray that Your will would be done and that You would guide our steps during this time of uncertainty. Thank You for all that You have done for us, and we ask now for Your continued protection as we step into a new chapter in our lives.
You are the one who gives us strength during our darkest days.
You are the one who gives us strength during our darkest days.
We have no other place to turn but to you, O Lord. We walk this life with uncertainties and fear, but we trust that You will not leave us alone in times like these.
You only want what’s best for us, even if it means that we might fail at first or even for a long time after graduation. We know that every day is just another opportunity for us to start over again and succeed!
We seek Your favor and protection always, O Lord.
We seek Your favor and protection always, O Lord. We pray for Your continued guidance and wisdom as we embark on this new stage of life. May we be ever mindful of Your presence and company, and may You be with us as we venture forth into the world to serve You in whatever way You would have us serve. We ask that You protect us from evil, temptation, sin, and any other forces that would hinder our ability to serve You or hinder others from doing so. In Jesus’ name we pray.
In You we find eternal hope, as we remember all that You’ve done for us.
In You we find eternal hope, as we remember all that You’ve done for us.
It is the Lord who gives us hope in our lives, and He provides all we need to persevere through difficulties and to survive. As we celebrate this momentous occasion with our friends and family, may we be reminded of God’s love for us—a love that never fails or changes; a love that saves us from death; a love that is always faithful and true. We are grateful for God’s mercy and grace, which He extends freely to all who believe in Him by faith alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). We are grateful for the gift of life given through His Son Jesus Christ, who died on a cross so that our sins might be forgiven (1 John 3:16). And because of Him alone can anyone experience real freedom—freedom from sin’s bondage and its consequences forevermore!
Our God, we are so grateful for the gift of life.
As we celebrate the gift of life, we thank Thee for this special day in which we have come together to honor our graduates. We rejoice in the knowledge that they are now ready to take their place as adults in society. We pray for them as they go out into the world, asking Thee to keep them safe and guide their steps.
We ask Your blessing upon this institution through which so many have learned so much about living well and being useful citizens. We ask Your blessing on those who teach here, and on those who work here behind the scenes—the secretaries and janitors, maintenance workers and administrators—because without them there would be no school at all!
Our God, please hear our prayer today…
Hear our cry for help, Lord!
Dear Lord, we pray for the person who is graduating. We ask that you guide them through their next steps in life and provide them with the means to follow Your way.
We pray for their friends and family, who will surely be celebrating this momentous occasion alongside them. May they find comfort in knowing that those they love are relying on You as well as each other in this exciting time of change.
We also ask that You watch over the graduates’ future endeavors, whether it be a new job or something else entirely—and bless them with success as they pursue their goals! Finally, we ask that You keep all of us healthy so that we can enjoy many more years together on Earth before being united again with loved ones in Heaven above.
Heavenly Father, we come to you seeking your guidance and wisdom.
Heavenly Father, we come to you seeking your guidance and wisdom.
As we prepare for a new beginning in our lives, we ask that you guide us on the journey ahead. Help us to know what is right and good for us as individuals, and protect us from evil influences that may try to confuse or mislead us. Protect our families, friends and loved ones who will be joining in our celebration of this momentous event. We ask these things in Jesus’ name, Amen
We offer thanks and gratitude to You, Father because of salvation through Christ Jesus.

We desire to grow in our faith, and know that You will lead us in the right direction. We are grateful for all the blessings in our lives and ask that You continue to help us find joy each day as we remember Your love for us. Thank you, Lord!
