Offertory Prayer for Advent

Offertory Prayer for Advent

We offer you our praise in thanksgiving for all the gifts you have given us. We come to you with hearts full of gratitude, offering ourselves as living sacrifices and asking for your blessing on our journey through this Advent season. We thank you for sending Jesus to be born into the world so that we could know your love.

God of hope, you are the God of patience. You have waited for us to be ready to receive your love. Our lives are filled with hardships and trials, but you teach us that your love has never ended, nor will it ever end. We pray for guidance and strength as we wait for a new birth in the spirit; we wait for you to renew our hearts so that we might know who you are and what your will is for our lives; we wait patiently knowing that when our time comes, it is yours alone who can accomplish this great thing in us.

God of peace, you are the God of peace. You want us all to live together in harmony without violence or war because all life belongs to you alone. The world needs more peace right now than ever before if humans are going to survive this century on earth peacefully—and they must! We pray that each person would recognize their inherent worthiness as a human being; that they would be able help one another rather than destroy each other; and finally: That they will come together as brothers/sisters regardless of nationality or religion so that peace may reign throughout this world once again..

we come before you with praise in our hearts and gifts in our hands.

We offer these gifts to you, God, because we have been blessed so abundantly by your goodness and mercy. We offer them to you, Father, in the name of your Son Jesus Christ, who has taught us through his life and death on earth that we are called to love one another as he loves us; that we are called to give ourselves away for the sake of others; that we are called to serve those who suffer in this world; that we are called to be humble servants among all people.

We give thanks for all that you have given us: a beautiful world where we can live together with other human beings and other creatures; good food and clean water; friendship between neighbors; peace among nations. And above all else, we thank you for sending your only Son into the world so that he could teach us how best to live together as brothers and sisters under one Father’s loving care (Jn 17:21).

We stand here together with one voice.

We are all in this together. We are all part of the same church, the body of Christ. We are one family, and we come as pilgrims seeking Christ’s presence within us and among us through His word and sacraments.

We offer ourselves to you as living sacrifices.

We offer our time, talents and treasures to you as we seek your will for all aspects of our lives. We commit ourselves to seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance in every decision we make.

We ask that all may accept the gifts of grace and share them with others, that they may be perfected in love through Christ Jesus; for he who loves his fellow man has fulfilled the law (Romans 13:8-10).

We thank you for allowing us to join together in this holy way.

We are not alone, but part of a larger community and family.

You have blessed this gathering with your presence. We ask you to continue to bless our celebration of Advent and Christmas, which we commemorate through these prayers and songs of praise.

We thank you for the blessings you have given us.

When giving thanks for our blessings, it’s important to remember that we do not have everything, nor do we know everything. The very fact that we are alive and breathing is a gift! We can be thankful for the many things that God has given us: life, family, friends, health (mental and physical), nature and the beauty of the world around us…and work and employment.

It is also important to remember that there are still many people who do not have these things. As you give thanks this Advent season for all of your blessings—small and great—please remember those who don’t have them too.

We are grateful for the promise of your Son,

We thank you, Lord God, for the promise of your Son.

We worship you with all our heart as we remember his coming,

and we rejoice that the Christ child is near.

Christ is born!

Christ is with us!

Christ is in us!

Christ is the light of the world.

The best offering we can give is our time and praise.

We can give our time by attending church services and singing hymns and songs during the service. We can also pray to God and read the Bible, which are both methods that will help you grow closer to Him!

Conclusion

We are the body of Christ, and together we offer ourselves to God in gratitude for all he has given us. In this season of Advent, we rejoice that the Christ child is near. May our lives be a blessing to one another as we celebrate this holy time together!
